Su-27UB Crash in Lviv

always hard to see and i have seen some in my job in 35 years of service
thx for posting we all can learn from it

I've seen this video before on this website, only it didn't show the map and the Ukranian language on it. Plus, the pilots who flew this Su-27UP were imprisoned for killing many people, that's what I saw in the video or something else, plus, this was by accident. I'm sure the pilots wanted to do this really cool ultra-low-level flying, except they didn't want to kill anyone there.

Relax Tomcatboy48237! I always watch all the videos uploaded on this site... I don't think it's a bat rating, 3/5 ... The fact that I hate crashes didn't change my rating. I even said it was a good video because it was interesting. I tought the aim of the rating was to know what people think about the video, if actually it's to make the author happy, then it's useless! Thank you rechfurlan fot this video, I agree with your opinion that's why I downloaded this video, there's absolutely no problem about it.

The eventual death toll was 84. The pilot (14 years) and copilot (8 years) were sentenced to prison and ordered to pay compensation to the victims. Victim familes are pressing for the government to pay as the pilots will never be in a position to pay very much. Two military commanders were also sent to prison.

I watched it. After that I rated it and put there what I thought, I can't say I liked it, it's crazy to say that. What's wrong with you, how can you say I love it when there are people being killed there? Now That's rediculus. I love it is close to my favorite, and I give such a rating to videos that I enjoy watching and I watch them quiet often. If you like to watch this video, and you're enjoying it, I suggest you consult with a doctor.

I hadn't seen video of the crash before, it was eye opening for sure.

If you don't like to watch crashes, why did you watch the video and then give it a bad rating? That's ridiculous and totally unfair to the author.

I rated the video this way because I don't like watching crashes (injured people or not) but it's interesting to see what can happen. I couldn't have imagined horrible it is. Planes look so small when they are flying, you don't think they can kill hundreds of people like you, simply by falling on them when you are holding your camera.

There's a website which says 84 people killed... Also checked a few other sites, all talking about an Ufo which hit the plane just before it crashed (they say it's recorded on video tapes where you can clearly see the object hit the Su-27)... I don't really know what to think about that, because the plane doesn't look damaged before it hits the trees.

Pilots were unhurt after eject but cca 60 people were killed.

And, in Ukrainian it's not Lvov but Lviv.


A scary big plane crashing, horrible (and the turnrate was fenomenal, near the ground, just before they contacted the trees). The crash was becuase the flightplan had the spectators placed on the other side of the runway, and they didn't train in Lviv, and because they exceeded the 24 degree Aoa limit (30 deg. Aoa), and, like in 1992, they didn't account for the 2 second full afterburner delay.

And Lvov is not in Russia, it's in Ukraine

This pilot was completely nuts. He should have pulled up hard rather than trying to turn at.....maybe 20 ft. And then...the obvious...his left wing................
