Thrust vectoring has nothing to do with how the sound ominates from the nozzle. All it does is move the nozzle up and down...

The F-22 sounds like it has afterburner on half the time but it dosent even have them on. Its just a very good fighter and sounds slightly different than normal fighter because of the thrust vectoring. By the way it shakes your organs with the afterburner for a warning . The F-15 & the F-16 only shakes your organs on their high speed pass thats how loud the F-22 its awesome.
