If you think that's bad, the F-100's rival, the Mig-19 Farmer, had a tendency (at least in early models) to spontaneously EXPLODE IN FLIGHT without warning. I bet you won't find very many Soviet propoganda films with footage of that.

The pilot was trying to land. The Sabre Dance was first found on the F-86 Sabre. If speed was dropped too low the approaching stall caused the nose to rise markedly. The aircraft would tend to fall to one side. The dance was the pilot trying to get power back on and keep the aircraft level before it crashed. Many were killed in this way.
