F-100 test flight crash (Sabre Dance)

So hard, high incidence?

The fact that the clip comes from Edwards causes the misconception that a test pilot was at the controls. Instead, it was a transient aircraft, flown by a relatively inexperienced F-100 pilot. The camera was in place to film a test aircraft, but was able to start the film rolling when he saw the young lieutenant in trouble. (A personal note -- it took me a couple of hundred hours before I felt comfortable flying the F-100.)

Ahhh yes, the "Sabre Dance."

I have read about this incident. The old 'Huns were highly suceptable to low speed, low altitude stalls at high AOAs, due to the aerodynamics of thier swept-wings --- a problem inherited from the F-86. This phenomena was known as the "Sabre Dance".
Not surprisingly, the pilot of this particular plane was killed... but not an a manner you might have expected.
He died of asphixiation, from his own vomit clogging the oxygen mask.

The point is that even his last moments he try not to escape but to fight
