what a pity! but he had luck that he hadnt fuel tank! abrasion and fuel = ....... :DDD
Or even worse, Fuel-Air bombs abrasion = BANG.
Seriously though, it's hard enough to take off in a Mig-29, as the aft gear is well forward, and the thrust nozzles are very long. Not a few Fulcrum drivers have scraped them at least once in thier careers.
