When '57 Chevys started rolling off the assembly line, This plane had already been beyond 70,000 feet.
For four years this plane flew at will over Soviet Russia since the Russians had no plane or missile that could shoot it down.
how fast does the plane have to fly to hold the altitude
You can cound from CAS. CAS was about 100 kts at 70k feet. I have a table abot CAS - Ma number conversion. At 60k alt the 100 CAS = 0.55 Mach.
