G'day Geoff, how did you get this series on tape? i remember this sceening on TV years ago. loved every minute of it. i would love to have the oportunity to see it all again. thanks for posting this

i'm no pilot, but after my 18 months of govt training and I was out on my own, noone calling the shots but me, I still vividly recall my first shift "solo" so to speak.

i can imagine what that pilot felt when the canopy clamped shut, and he taxied out in a very empty cockpit.

its is great documentary got it all on tape about to put it on cd when i decided to show this section here, tape off television at the time mid eighty this guy got his wings and ended up in transport for r.a.f flying c130 hec the only guy out off about thirty people to pass to become fighter pilot was a milk man a john mcrae

English tv seris called Fighter Pilot, had it on video, remember it well, quite a good show, only one of the guys passed & ended up on the Buccaneer.
