@Icarus: Its flare of course - if seen russian planes also dropping huge ammounts of flares at the same time, but i guess western systems have also the ability of dropping large masses of flare, i think they just have another defence technique

the mirage 4 is the bigest of all the mirage faily. It is one of the fastest bomber ever. It can fly at mach 2,2 for half an our whereas most of the figters can sustain those speeds for a very few minutes (when they can). It was primary designed for nuclear dissuasion and then modernized for recce missions. It was retired last year in june 2005, the same year of the jaguar.

Could anyone tell me the name of this fighter similar to Mirage 2000 but with much tapered and streamlined cockpit canopy ?Never seen this before.
It somehow looks like russian Tupolov bombers.
