This is a simulated airfield attack at the airshow at RAF Leuchars (Sept 2006). Lots of Tornados taking off & then low level runs with pyrotechnics! There is a Chinook later in the clip that comes in to pick up the troops.
RAF Bucaneer
This is the display of an RAF Bucaneer at Newtownards airshow. This footage was taken by my father. I think the year is 1984. Apologies for the quality - it was taken off a VHS tape. The last pass still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Watch how low & fast it goes past. These were th..
Tornado F3 diamond 9 formation
This is a clip showing 9 RAF Tornado F3's in a diamond nine formation at the airshow at RAF Leuchars 2006. Quite a unique sight indeed. Quite rare to see 10 of them depart in a row as well.
East meets West
This is just a short videoclip of my mate & I messing about on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I'm flying the B-52 & my mate is in the Sukhoi. What do you think of the low pass made by the BUFF at the start...?! The airfield we are flying from is Aldergrove (N. Ireland).
B-17 under attack!
This is me flying the B-17 (in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004) whilst my mate is flying the Me109. There are some sound effects added to simulate gun fire! After the B-17 has been atacked, a Spitfire comes to the rescue. Just a bit of fun.
Team Guinot display at the Ulster Airshow
This is the display of Team Guinot at the Ulster Air Show on 23 June 2007. Two lovely girls on top of the wings! The aircraft taxied very close to us before their take off & the girls didn't seem to mind everyone taking video/photographs of them...!
RAF Phantom at Ards Airshow 1984
This is the display of an RAF Phantom at Newtownards airshow. This footage was taken by my father. I think the year is 1984. Apologies for the quality - it was taken off a VHS tape. Listen to the roar off it! What comes from the plane at the 47sec mark? Is it dumping fuel or something? You have no p..
Tomcat intercepting a Bear
This is a short clip of me & a mate messing around on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. My mate is flying the Tomcat whilst I'm in the Bear. To think this used to happen for real. It won't happen again as the Tomcat has been retired (unless of course it's an Iranian Tomcat!). Does anyone recognise th..
Hawk Harrassment
More messing around on microsoft flight simulator 2004. This time I'm flying the Hawk & my mate is flying the Tornado. The airfield we are around from/around is Gibraltar. I have set it to some music as well.
B1-B formation flying
This is a short video clip of my mate & I flying in 2 x B1-B Lancers in microsoft flight simulator 2004. It is just so hard to fly a consistant tight formation.
Sunset ceremony
This is a Tornado F3 departing RAF Leuchars. It then comes back for a fast, low pass before climbing out of sight. It was taken at the airshow in 2006.
Fairford 2007 DVD intro
I have put together this intro for a DVD I'm making of this years Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in the United Kingdom. It is a combination of video footage & pictures from the show, all set to music. Let me know what you think.
Trip to the Isle of Man
This is a short video clip of my mate & I flying from Aldergrove to the Isle of Man in microsoft flight simulator 2004. I'm flying the Globemaster & he is in the Hornet. I like the opening shot of the C-17 lifting off - very dramatic!
C-17s in formation.
This is a videoclip of me & my mate flying C-17's in formation in Microsoft Flight Simulator. My mate is flying in the lead aircraft & I'm the one trying to formate with him. A work colleague of mine thinks that a lot of aviation videos are always set to rock music. So I decided to go for some class..

This is a couple of flypasts by the USAF at Newtownards airshow. This footage was taken by my father. I think the year is 1984. Victor arrival at Fairford
This is a short clip of a Victor on approach to RAF Fairford. It was arriving to be part of the static line up at the Air Tattoo. This was the only time I ever saw a Victor flying. There is a Hawk flying alongside it as it approaches. (This footage was taken from a VHS tape)
Sea plane at Portush
This is the display of a small sea plane at Portrush airshow in September 2007. I think it is an Aviat Husky. Very manoeuverable for its size. Also, watch for the "touch n goes" on the sea.
Spitfire display 1984
This is footage of a red Spitfire (G-FIRE) displaying at Ards airshow. My father took this footage. I think the year is 1984. Quality isn't great as it was taken from VHS. Anyone want to guess how low the Spitfire is at the 1 min 3 secs mark...?
Mig 29 formation practice display 1993
Does anyone recognise these 2 aircraft...? This is some footage of the practice display of the 2 Russian Mig 29's on the Thursday before the Air Tattoo in 1993. Their routine went well. Snoopy
This is an RAF Hercules W2 arriving at the Air Tattoo 1993. This was a unique Herc used by the meteorological research flight at Farnborough. Its nickname was Snoopy. I think it was converted back for ordinary cargo duties at some point. (This footage was taken from a VHS tape)
