Hard landing - Sarajevo approach

I don't believe that this was a hard landing. The pilot held the nose up as long as he could on the landing roll-out. If he had hit hard enough on the nose gear to collapse it, he would've been leaving fire and smoke as soon as he touched down, which he clearly wasn't.

The fact that somebody was filming this landing AND the immediate response of the emergency vehicles tells me that the Tornado was an in-flight emergency. The nose gear was down but was minus the wheel and tire. The gear collapsed after he touched down and ground the bare piston along the runway for a few hundred feet.

Background:
During the war in Bosnia some pilots who were flying to Sarajevo were landing their cargo planes by approaching the airport at fairly high altitude and then diving down at the last moment, it was intense and risky way to land a plane but the objective was to avoid ground fire.

With that sink rate????? I think it was just to hard for the landing gear....unless that was the procedure for a certain emergency
