Terrible Accident of a Cessna 182 in Colombia
This accident happened in Nariño, Colombia. The Cessna 182 took off overloaded. The plane barely climbed, but had not enough speed and crashed into a school building a few seconds later.
The plane was operated by an organization that helps people with medical assistance on remote places of Colombia (Patrulla Aérea Colombiana). There were 4 people on board: The pilot and chief of medical staff, another physician, a little boy recently operated, and the mother of the boy. All were sadly killed in the accident.

The rudder was not the problem. If you look at the dust storm taking off, it's blowing left. The plane was blown left due to wind...not rudder. For trigon, 'overloaded' is not defined as being able to lift off or not. An overloaded plane can easily takeoff in ground effect.
I'm not quite sure about the wind. You can look at the trees, they don't move at all, and you would need quite a gust to unbalance the plane like that. So I'm not convinced the crying woman couldn't be a cause. What was she crying for by the way? My spanish is a bit rusty...
Standard Stall out too, he rolled to the left. The stall horn must still be ringing in his ears.
It's always sad to see such things...
aero101 : I agree with you.
Me too, to many factors contrubuted on the accident, finally a worst case scenario came in and then the fatalic crash

i also fly the c172 and c182 for the atpl licence right now and u can overload it without problems - if they are too heavy, you wont get up - simple :) (dont get me wrong - im not overloading my planes!!)
but the short acceleration and roll distance speaks against it - but: look at the bank and the ruder... there must someone of the first two push the ruder very hard for such a manoeuvre and then u havent got any chance to recover!
maybe the lady on the front seat got scarred, pushed the ruder and didnt let it go anymore - like a cramp
as i said - my opinion
s***
didnt do his weight and balance?
Yeesh, I guess he didn't...4 people plus medical equipment and most likely a high pressure altitude environment considering the region, no surprise he couldn't get out of ground effect.
I wonder how many hours that pilot had?...
