I have just talked with a couple of Colombian's regarding the controversy about the video being taken in Colombia or Peru. It seems that one of the Tucano pilots is speaking with a Peruvian accent but after reviewing the audio part of the video over 15 times, it seems that this is correct but 2 of the 3 heard speaking Spanish are Colombians for sure. The question is: is the pilot speaking with a Peruvian accent a FAP pilot on exchange with FAC, or a former FAP pilot/ex-patriot now flying with FAC, or is this Colombian pilot from one of the Southern zones near the border with Peru/Ecuador? Those who noticed the difference are partly right. There is a different accent, but only with one of the Tucano pilots, not all of them. This is certainly Colombia on the border in Norte de Santander with Venezuela.

Also, listen to the end of the audio, the coordinates are on the Colombian/Venezuelan border. I got the fix on Google Earth. It looks just like the terrain on the video.

These are Colombian(FAC) T-27 Tucano's, not FAP Tucano's. Listen to the audio and you clearly hear the surveillance aircraft crew calling them T-27's. The FAP doesn't call their Tucano's T-27's, the FAP calls them by their original EMB-312 designation. The T-27 and other aircraft designations used by FAC mirrors ones used by the US. The surveillance aircraft is actually a contractor flight "possibly"(cough cough) by Dynacorp. The narco plane was heading towards Venezuela. BTW, why doesn't someone speak about the islands North of Venezuela Mr. Chavez allows allows FARC and other narcos to traffic their dope Northward???

Wow, that was cheap. I realise that they have to shoot down aircraft trafficing drugs that wont stop, but it must be like shooting fish in a barrel......and the tucano pilot still needed several passes. If the druggie had just kept turning into him he'd have made his three miles to the border.

I'm not sure about this one, but... as far I can remember, was an Super King Air 350 (video surveillance variant) operated by DEA crew-members.

Thats for sure that a Surviliance Plane was a Super King Air 350 and they are operated by the DEA, they operate in the all Amazon in cooperation with local goverments

I'm Sorry, but you are wrong here. They're Tucanos from Peruvian Air Force, flying over peruvian territory.
