I mean for an aviation site you got some ignorant people here, the aggressor squadron always uses the more agile smaller fighter, the 65thaggressor's provide adversary tactics to our squadrons teaching ACM mostly in red flag, the aggressors aircraft consist of f-15's D and C models along with block 52 vipers, Now first of all this is not top gun just because you see tomcats doesn't mean this is TOP GUN, the students are in the tomcats instructors in the vipers, they spliced together a few different videos to get this vid so don't get confused the only thing that can't be debated is the in cockpit HUD footage

It is true that the explanations aren't very clear... But the guys with the red stars are sitting in the F-16s, so I assume they are the aggressors.

Pretty sure the instructors are in the F-14's and students in F-16. It states in the beginning of the video, the instructor's intentionally lose the fight, and by watching the video, you can clearly tell the F-14's lost.
