Mirage 4000

saw it at the factory from dassault it was impresive

Think F-15 range, speed, payload, power, and climb rate --- in a single-seat, TWIN engine Mirage 2000. That pretty well sums it up. -:)

The project of the Mirage 4000 didn't go on because not many countries were intereted in it, in fact there was only one country interesed in this beautyful plane which was Saudi Arabia. It was a private project from Dassault-Breguet and the national air force had little interest in it, givin more importance to its cheaper brother, Mirage 2000.

Cooool Airshow....Any one know that why didn't Miragr-4000 production started afterwards...was it costly.

It look like a cool manuverable fighter...or nuclear bomber..?

Has it occurred to you that this is a protoype, that possibly they didn't explore the entire flight envelope yet or that the pilot simply isn't pushing the a/c to its limits? It doesn't do too bad for such a big plane.

No wonder the program was dropped, the thing handles like a pregnant goose!
