Thunderbirds

once again after 22 years, they performed here at subang Malaysia on October 3rd but this time much2 better including the classic needle thread high speed pass....yet it still my favorite aerobatics team in the WORLD!!!....PLEASE COME AGAIN USAF THUNDERBIRDS!!!

There is no argument that the F-22 can out maneuver the F-18. USAF aircraft vs. USN aircraft was never my argument anyways. My argument is that the PILOTS of the Blue Angels are better than the pilots of the Thunder Birds for facts that I have already listed.

If I'm not mistaken, they are trained by USN pilots. I haven't checked to see if this is still true, but I believe that the US is the only country to have more than one aircraft carrier. In fact, the US has 11 carriers. Allied countries probably train with the US since the US has the resources to train carrier pilots.

If you haven't noticed, the Thunderbirds pilots perform with both an anti-G suit as well as an oxygen mask. The Blue Angels pilots perform with neither of those two items. It is much more difficult to become a Blue Angels pilot because those pilots must be able to sustain heavy G-forces without the use of G-suits or oxygen masks. The biggest thing that separates Navy pilots from Air Force pilots is the fact that Navy pilots have to land on a boat while Air Force pilots get to land on a nice big runway. Navy pilots have to be carrier qualified at night as well. USN pilots are the only pilots in the world that land on carriers at night. By the way, any pilot can do a sneak pass. You shouldn't compare performances by a 1 G fly-by that is not even a "maneuver." Quote:

I love the low altitude passes its better than there actuall airshow. That would be so wicked loud right above your head and you'll feel that wind from the engines thrust. Go and see the USAF Thunderbirds the next chance you get it is way better than the USN Blue Angels plus the USAF has better sneek passes it will get you off guard. I watched thunderbirds airshow in 1987 at subang airfield, malaysia when I was 13 years old...they were truly american legend...and yet still my favorite aerobatics team in the world!!!
