RAF Vulcan

RAF Avro Vulcan B2 bomber, XH558, at Biggen Hill in the early 1990s. Filmed by Ian Beech. The Vulcan B2 entered RAF service in 1960 and was withdrawn in 1984. This aircraft continued in the Vulcan Display Flight until 1993. It is now being restored by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust in the UK and they hope to have it performing later this year. Seeing this video brings back childhood memories of the airshows i attended at RAF Leuchars and watching this amazing aircraft doing its thing. The amazing climb and bank after take off still looks amazing...i used to think it would fall out of the sky cos it was so big lol. great footage Richard and thanks for uploading it :D

Brilliant vid ! Gotta love this old bird. Awsome climb out, and how about those "millitary approach & departures" the boys flying into Bhagdad would be inpressed to see a ship this size doing those manouvres. Cant wait to see her back in the sky. COOL
