No it's not. The only problem that you should take care of, is to how to get BASE equipment. I know 3 dudes who had 0 skydive jumps, and we teached them how to do base jump. But it will be much better if you will find someone who is really a priofessional and will teach you. It costs about $1000 but if you don't have those money you always can go to anybody who is jumping and be they're friend :) It's about 3 times scarier to jump of a fixed object than an airplane. But if you want - you can do it. I'm the real, alive proovement.

o.k. so far I have only 4 jumps from 1200m (~4000ft) so... it's a little bit too early for base ;(

You know what was the most funny thing there?! Nobody except for me, had the video camera! Those dudes are doing stuff like this for the 5days on a week and they don't film it! Some jumps are really crazy! Try only to get on the 9th floor of the building and step on the roofs edge, and you'll have 50% of that base feeling. That's what my teacher says. I was so scared filming that stuff. You can see my camera shacking when dude falls and open's his chute by the me krouling on the top of the abandoned TV antenna. My second job will be here soon. Don't miss it :)) It will be more crazy than this stuff :)))))
My first jump is gonna be on 5th August. But only if my chute arrives in time. See my photos of where will I jump. It will be light stadium tower.
