It was required the french Marine (or maybe Armée de l'Air, not sure). They didn't want a fragile retractable probe. Dassault was fiercely opposed to that but they had no choice.

This video doesn't show anything more about this wonderful plane (I'm Frensh, so excuse my english) but juste a littel thing... this video was shooted from "la côte d'azur " (mediterranean coast) more exactly for a part of those shoots around of banyouls ( on the limit of the Spanish territory ) because of the vin. music?.... is it realy music .... it's realy "poor music"( yeah Posted 11 Months Ago) I agry on that point...

The video is not especially great but it features a great aircraft that as the Mirage 2000,the Mirage f-1 is the product of Dassault Aviation' talent in creating incredible planes.So,the shot are finally very beautiful.
