Pilatus P3 at Axalp (Ebenfluh Shooting Range) 2009 with Nikon D300s
As a great surprise on day one of the season opening, a friendly pilot made a visit on the Axalp Shooting Range. This Vid I've taken with the videofunction of the new DSLR Nikon D300s - together with an Nikon 300mm F 2.8 lens. I think the result is not bad, but it's really not easy to film with only the LiveView-mode. I whould prefer to film via the normal optical viewfinder. I've cutted out the sound, the internal micro is not so good. Film is made with Windows Movie Maker.

I havn't bought the camera - only tested it. I wanted to check out the newest cam 'cause I've to change to a new camera soon. I use two Nikon D100 Body's the moment and I think a couple of months more ;)
I use de camera mainly for photo purposes. And like I wrote in the comment to the video - I whould prefer to film it via the normal viewfinder and not via camera-display. I've testet also the external microfone in the store - but it's too expensive for the not so many films I whould make with this camera. For aircraft-movies you have to buy the more expensive microphone of Nikon.
Anyway - I've got also a small handycam - and with that its much easier to make good movies.
