Swiss Air Force - Combat Search and Rescue in the Alps

Swiss Air Force presented an CSAR-Demo near Thun. Ok, it's not really CSAR 'cause we have not the powerful helicopters that for. But we can name it 'CSAR light' ;)
Mission: Rescue the survivor's of an downed aircraft behind enemy lines. A Super Puma helicopter located the wreck with his FLIR-Camera and unloaded mountain rescue troops to secure the area and bring in help for the crashed ones. After that the Alouette III was used for all the whinching operations needed.
Involved Troops where from Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Spain and this Demo was held during 21st Congress of the IFMS (International Federation of Mountain Soldiers) in 2006.
