How to Take a Tomcat

This is a not-so-brief tutorial on how to take out an F-14A Tomcat using an F-15C Eagle in Lockon 1.12a. Evasion of the Phoenix missile is covered in detail, as well as a few strategies for usage of the AMRAAM and its advantages over the AIM-7 Sparrow. I have included 3D ACMI renderings of the missile evasions using the Tacview ACMI program found at Lockonfiles. I hope to one day continue this "How to Take a" series to match Ironhand, but I don't have high hopes, it's like competing with Jesus Chirst, Mohammed, Buddha and Ronald Reagan, big challenge.

FYI, this movie demonstrates the characteristics of the missles configured in LOMAC. The capabilities of the AIM-54 and AIM-7 are much better in real life...good luck trying to defeat a Phoenix with the menuvers shown in this video during a real engagement.

Believe me, I've tried using the Su-25T agianst aircraft with no missiles at all, let's just say that Sukhoi parts were just-a-raining down over the land. And thanks for the advice about the HUD, I'll use red next time, LO doesn't have blue...
