A-10 vs F-16 take one

Look, Having been a crewchief on both Airframes (currently on the hawg) this fight obviously had restrictions, if it was a viper armed with 120's and no rules on the flight envelope I.E going vertical and hitting AB this would have been over in a BVR kill before the hawg knew what happened not to mention the the shear peformance advantage the viper has. I love the hawg but believe me this is just whacked out scenerio where it got a very gift wrapped oppurtunity and I mean the 16 driver was a sleep at the wheel with both hands tied behind his back. This is simple physics think about it....................

Contrail_25, this video looks like a defensive ACM 2v1 setup. Basically, two A-10s are flying line abreast, probably near 2 miles apart. A single viper engages one of the A-10s (from behind, sts). The other A-10 maneuvers as to get a quick kill before the viper kills his buddy. Can a hog out turn a viper are slower speeds? Sure. But I do not believe this is a good representation of that. What sq is your bro going to?

I got these from a Hog guy that was one of my IPs. My kid bro just got to his first Viper SQ....so I get a kick out of sending him these vids...drives him nuts.

Contrail_25, this setup is a 2v1 ACM, canned engagement. Bandit engages # 2, 1 goes high, waits for an entry, and makes the kill. The viper driver has nothing to be embarrassed about. Put them in a 1v1 Hi Aspect butterfly setup, and the viper will mop the floor with the hog all day long.
