Some knuckleheads in a C182 landed gear up...not sure on the story behind this one but the landing gear unsafe horn sure is hard to miss!

Folks, a Cessna 182 doesn't have retractable gear. Now I could be wrong, but when he looks to the side you can SEE the wing struts... if this was a true gear up the prop would be churned up and the camera picture would look a lot different. My guess is that they had a nosegear issue.

Landing on skids of some kind maybe? Definelty no gear-up landing. And the camera was filming left and right anticipating the landing "issue".

Looks to me like they were doing a power-off 180. you don't hear any throttle changes and it would explain the high final. It's also more likely to believe that this would happen during a simulated emergency than during a normal pattern.

It does seem like an intentional gear up landing...maybe testing?

I don't see any Fire & Rescue units beside the runway...so I guess it wansn't a declared emergency, but did the tower checked the "gear down and lock" call? Finally I think they forgot to see their check list even with the horn loud and clear, always go throught it!!!!

I remember seeing something about this in the news maybe a month ago ... if it's the same plane then it was not accidental.

Haha, CRR-CRR-CRR-CRR-CRR!!! I'm guessing that was either a test landing, or as KWE said, the couldn't extend the gear. Also, was the horn audio recorded separately into the video, or is it just that loud?

Well I wish you could watch the rest of the video....that might say more. Plus if it was a real problem I doubt they would be talking about trivial things like gloves...
