Poh! Nao acredito...

Tenha santa paciencia o Burn!!!

If you visit any major U.S. cities or even 3rd world countries like China (e.g. City of Shanghai), the city skyline is dramatically different 20 yrs ago vs NOW, let alone 40 yrs. the conclusion is, Rio, if not Brazil in general, has made little or no progress in the last 40 yrs. This is very disappointing.

How sad to read this. You really have no idea what you are talking about, do you?? In 40y population from Rio de Janeiro has grown more than 4 times. (Do you know what multipliyng 4 times mean?? I guess not...)
Also the streets have multiplied (as any city from china, usa, or any country) and buildings had grown and multiplied. Just for curiosity and before saiyng bulls*** about anything, please google it prior than writing this nonsense.

Now, about the video: it is a great video ! Streets had been closed for this shooting 40yago.

Besides that movie he was the one to start using helicopters on all kind of services - from rescue, police, transportation and so on. Just to put on the record - his name was Raimundo de Paula Soares.

Thanx for having added this comment and congratulations to your father, RSoares!

They had a permit to do it.The Guy in the chopper is Roberto Carlos and the songs you´ve heard were sung by him.I live in Rio and I was born in the same year they made this fantastic footage.Nowaday its historical, many thinghs had change and is quite nice too see our city in the past times!

The best thing is Roberto Carlos still a successful singer because always express love and kindness in his songs. That's the way we must need to feel about now and for the future. Do not give up. My Sao Paulo is getting creepy too, but when I am there and the fears start to coming... I just fly into my great memories....Tks to transport me to my dear BraSil through this 1967 trip.

My beautiful Rio de Janeiro!!!!, 40 years ago!... what they have done to you since then? What a life we had!! This video is a fantastic trip to the past, with our popular singer Roberto Carlos (pity if you dont't understand the words - in Portuguese and Italian). And what a fly through the tunnel! Something impossible to do nowadays. At that time no one would think in terrorism, crazy lunatics, narcotrafic, ... it was just fun! At least for me, 12 years-old...

In the 60s everything was legal...my old dad owns his pilot licence since 1957! He flew in the early 60s from germany to sweden in his bücker 181 just having a compass and a road map on. no VOR or ADF. :-) those were the days my friend... the good old times! :-)
