Mig MFI flight footage!

The 1.44 served purely as a technological showcase and testbed for future aircraft designs, not as an actual air superiority fighter prototype.

Another thing the Mig 1.44 MFI has in common with the Raptor is that it also has thrust vectoring engines.

But, like the other Russian superfighters, get that Mig into service!!!!!!

Yes, in fact, I'm one of those people. But check this out!!! The Mig 1.44 MFI, formerly the Mig 1.42(which was the factory code number), was developed as a response to the F-22 Raptor. Like the Raptor, it is superb, is extremely maneuverable, is stealthy, it has an option of external hardpoints, and it has internal weapons bays. Rumors were said that the Mig-1.44 MFI will have a plasma shielding to prevent the Mig from being detected by radar. Yes, it might enter production. Although military officials scrapped plans to manufacture the MFI because it was too expensive, but, very fortunately, hopes are not lost!!!!! However, the Defense Ministry supports the MFI program, and will decide on production following flight tests that could take up to seven years. However, the Mig 1.44 MFI is scheduled to enter service in just 2 years!!!!!!!! Which is in 2010. Although the Mig was developed as a response to the Raptor, it is very similar to the Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon, and because of that, I call the Mig the Russian brother of the Typhoon. Despite insufficient funding, they finally got it in the air in the year 2000. But the Russians haven't acquired a new warplane since 1996. But, like all of the other superfighters, the Mig-1.44 MFI is an extremely cool and a superb fighter!!!!!!!!!

IMO that plane is ugly like sin, but I'm sure it can fly crazy well. Not anything I'd give up a Raptor for but certianly interesting.
