Wallpaper F-16
A nice closeup photo of a viper driver, probably taken from a tanker boom controller's point of view.
It's nice to be used as a wallpaper on your desktop, isn't it?

Apache Longbow at sunset
The AH-64D Longbow is fitted with the Longbow millimetre wave fire control radar and the Longbow Hellfire missile.
The Longbow fire control radar incorporates an integrated radar frequency interferometer for passive location and identification of radar-emitting threats.
An advantage of millimetre wave is that it performs under poor-visibility conditions and is less sensitive to ground clutter.
The short wavelength allows a very narrow beam width, which is resistant to countermeasures.

Cockpit sunshade!
Captains can have very creative ideas some times!
This particular one, "professionally" managed to use his personalized checklist (checking the copilot mostly) and some beautiful "Head Up Display" also, to rest his eyes on it, during the long and boring auto pilot flight hours.
All that, combined in a shade to keep the sun rays out of the cockpit...!!!

Pilatus PC-7 MK-2 Astra "Another Perspective"
Captain Ryan Cokayne of Team 64, flying no.3 for the Silver Falcons Aerobatic Team in South Africa. This is an Air Force team that we are very proud of. We are flying near Cape Point (Cape Agulhas) on a perfect day. The polarizing effect that I got in his canopy was pretty cool.

Hercules C130B "Pretty Lady"
Hercules C130B "Flossie" is based at AFB Waterkloof, 28 Squadron, Pretoria, South Africa. Photography took place over a dam near Brits in South Africa in the afternoon. These aircraft are more than 40years old and are in imaculant condition. The crews love their planes dearly and walking into the squadron with enlarged prints of this lady lit up their faces. I used 2lenses (18-70mm and 70-300mm), adjustable polarising filters to enhance contrast and colours, 250sec, 0.3overexposure compensation and auto aperture. I always shoot aircraft on the vivid-setting in the progammable mode.
