A badly kept secret--now declassified--involves the use of Soviet-designed aircraft for USAF training

The american Air Force is revealing one part of a complex series of programs that obtained, tested and analyzed foreign military equipment on the Nevada test ranges northwest of Las Vegas and Nellis AFB.

Air Force American confirm flew MiG-17s, mig-21 and mig-23 were part of the program. But some of those involved say they also flew the more sophisticated MiG-27s, MiG-25s and Su-27s.
