In 1998 the program was started to develop an anti-radiation Missile to equip the aircraft A-1 (AMX) of the FAB and is expected for 2008 the end of their development. From the beginning the programme was conducted by CTA (General Command of Aerospace Technology) together with the company Mectron, also of San Jose dos Campos, and currently is at the stage of testing. O MAR-1 é um míssil tático do tipo ar-superfície, anti-radiação de médio alcance, com guiamento passivo por radar com múltipla opção de banda para ataque à sistemas de defesa antiaéreas baseadas em terra ou em plataformas marítimas. Uma análise em cenário simulado mostrou que a cabeça de busca do MAR-1 tem condições de detectar um radar de baixa potência (no caso um diretor de tiro Skyguard) a distâncias maiores que 500 km.

Yes, it is a Brazilian missile that equips the F-5EM (modernized), in future the A-1 (also Modernized). The first version of the MAR-1 had reach of 25 km, but now the new versions have a very bigger reach, to put not yet divulged.

Anti radar weapons on a F-5 is an interesting sight! I guess it is a locally developed missile. Someone with more information?
