Night aerobatics
Bob Carlton in his Silent 1N jet-powered glider at Avalon International Airshow "Boeing Night Alight". The glider dispensed pyrotechics and this image was captured with a Canon 20D/ 100-400mm image-stabilised "L" lens. ISO 1600, hand-held for 8 seconds at f16. The camera was held still and the aircraft was manoeuvred to create this pattern. Art by accident!
