What type of unit is this? Are the like the Blue Angles or Thunderbirds? If they are why such an expensive aircraft then?
It's a single ship demonstration team. The USAF currently has two F-16, one F-15, one F-15E, one F-22, and one A-10 demonstration team. They fly two aircraft to a show in case the primary aircaft breaks down.
