Red Flag-Alaska 2007

Once again...the photo above...that is a standard HGU-55/P with a COMBAT EDGE field kit installed and a MBU-20/P oxygen mask. There is no HMCS or any display system for that matter installed in this particular pilots helmet. Its not a 'conviction', its a fact. Oh, and VSI is the designer and manufacterer of all the HMC systems in use right now...they are not based on the HGU-55/P, all the helmets are custom built.

There is a lot of sort of HMCS in USAF, for different applications; not only the JHMCS for the F-35 JSF aircraft or day and night helmet-mounted cueing. Moreover all USAF fighter helmets ares branched off from HGU-55/P, even the JHMCS.

Well, now you have your own convictions ;-)

Uhhhh...no, it does not have HMCS...did you maybe post the wrong picture?

It doesn't look new to me...am I the only one that see's all the wear marks on it??

Are you sure that is a new helmet ?

It looks like a HGU-55/P.

But the oxigen mask is not locked, this is why , in my opinion , it looks different.
