Hello, Very good chance this is me on the boom. I deployed to Iran on CENTO exercises in 1974 and 1975 in F-111E's from RAF Upper Heyford. One was to Badar Abbas, and the second was to Shiraz. I remember several refulings from these tankers. They were the the only KC-135's that I ever refuled from that had both the boom and the wing mounted basket probes. I have a picture somewhere of 2 F-111's on the boom of these tankers also.
