USAF F-22 Raptor Intercepting a Russian Bear

The pics have finally come out of the F-22 intercept of a Russian Bear on Thanksgiving Day.
This was the first intercept of a Bear by the Raptor.

I see what you mean, but I think that is an effect of several factors including the angle of the sun to the fin, optics, and shutter speed. I have seen the set of photos from this engagement and this picture is exactly the same as the "original" photo. Other photos from the group show the tail number clearly, so it is unlikely someone would have only altered this one photo. Also, the military prohibits any altering of photos. I am almost positive this is a natural blurring due to the factors I mention above. If not, it does not make any sense.

You can see it around the Raptor...very fuzzy...also looks like they gently scrubbed out the tail number...If you can't see it here, find the full size version online and look at it, you'll see what I mean.

I remember in the past the fighterjets used to tease the crew of the bear by flying slowly to the front & the back of the plain. the crew would follow them in the bear and it was pretty narrow and uncomfortable in the bear :d . also the crew kept the gun in the back downwards to prove that they didn't came to attack.
