They're not flying anymore cause no new canopy parts are coming from the factory...
The factory is closed and they sit on the ground...

Totally True!You don't need to say that they're Mi-17's cause i took the photo,i used to sit in them when i was kid in Diyarbakir so i know what they're:)
Jandarma was using them and they'll replace them with Blackhawks...

is it Mi-8 or Mi-17? if its so old i would say its Mi-8. we retired them too, but Mi-17s were modernized and now they will serve some time

I don't know but i think they don't need them anymore cause they're too old and to fly them new ground crew must be educated,also our hangars have problem with them cause they're too big etc etc...
