RAAF 76 SQN Hawk 127

Theres a half interesting story behind this one. The RAAF supplied 3 76 SQN Hawk 127's to conduct flypasts over my city to commemerate the anniversary of the Battle Of Britain. So as a live close to the airport a rode down there to watch them land but unfortunatley i missed them because i gave up after waiting half an hour but fate had its way that as i was riding back along the road they came in to land, which left me pretty p***** off because i could've got some great pics. Anyway i went over to where they were parked on the ramp and stood and took some photos from the fence and one of the pilots comes over and starts talking to me and offered to take a photo from the front of the plane, as i only had ones from the back. So that's how this photo was made, and i guess picture credits go to him! - Sorry to bore you all to tears but RAAF aircraft only come down my way once or twice a year, as we have no RAAF base. (We aren't important enough)

Yeah the kangaroo is our national roundel, which is pretty cool. There RAAF currently operates 33 Hawks within two squadrons, 79 Based in Pearce in Western Australia and 76 Squadron based at Williamtown home of ACG (Air Combat Group). Their primary role is initial and lead-in-fighter training, for pilots who would later fly the F/A-18
