Typhoon Close Up

I really dont know much about this photo, but this is what my dad sends me when he is at lockheed and gets bored of putting up with the idiots (only a select few). But what the email said was, how close can he get? I am guessing it is a Rafle, out the back of a C-130, if anyone knows please let me know. Sorry I do not really follow RAF or anyother Airforce planes. (besides the Tornado, and a select few).
