hm.. sounds logical, at least more then my excplanation: The pilot took a bird with him on a test flight and shot it with his m9 while he was flying.

How the hack did the bird get on the inside of the cockpit and on the backside of the HUD?!!!!! ;P
Possibly the effect of the air coming into the cockpit from the hole in the canopy created by the bird impact.
