how do all those tow lines miss the other gliders when the lines are straight from take off tension?

whipping cables under take off power plus lightly constructed glider = blender.

hard to believe ,i have had one tow of three one seaters 18 years ago and it was triky to fly that tow ,so it must be a a powerful towplane to do that

on this photo there are only 8 gliders but they were 9 at take off. I suppose one released the rope (you can see one rope without glider) The last glider joined closer the formation so that the rope distended (you can see it going down the photo from the glider, but also from the plane. Its normal that each of the others gliders has a rope to the plane

Hihi.. I'm a little confused here.. look at the last glider. He has a rope going down under the photo and in addition to that you can see other ropes going from each of the sailplanes to the yellow plane.
