how do all those tow lines miss the other gliders when the lines are straight from take off tension?

whipping cables under take off power plus lightly constructed glider = blender.

I suppose one released the rope (you can see one rope without glider) The last glider joined closer the formation so that the rope distended (you can see it going down the photo from the glider, but also from the plane. Its normal that each of the others gliders has a rope to the plane
