About Patrick's Aviation

Patrick's Aviation is a website for sharing your aviation and flight simulation videos and photos, and for hanging around with other aviation folks (although they're mostly men).

Patrick's Aviation was started unofficially at some point in 2004, specifically to allow aviation and flight simulation fellas to share videos online for free. It was officially launched as Patrick's Aviation Website on February 5th, 2005. We grew quite a lot and added a bunch of features, but later decided we wanted to focus on aviation video and photo sharing. On July 1st, 2006, the site relaunched as Patrick's Aviation with a new design and new focus: allowing users to share their aviation videos and photos for free.

The site currently runs on several servers located around New York, all of which runn a LAMP setup (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL). All server side programming is done in PHP using our incredibly sexy Aresta PHP Framework.
